Do I have to wear my aligners all the time ?

You should remove the aligners to eat, brush and floss your teeth, but aside from these times you should wear the aligners for up to 22 hours a day. Every week or two weeks, you will swap your aligners with a new set which will gradually push your teeth into the desired position!

Does it hurt?

Any time the teeth are pushed or moved into a different position, there is a chance of experiencing some discomfort. This is actually a good sign as it’s an indication that the treatment is working! Most patients only report discomfort for the first few days after wearing a new set of aligners and some report no discomfort at all. When present, this can be described as more of a pressure-type pain than a sharp or intense pain, and typically resolves after the first few days.
